AdWords Success Earns Cyberlicious® the Google Partner Badge

Cyberlicious® recently became an official Google Partner. Since the designation requires the fulfillment of certain parameters and is a mark of mastery within Google’s system, we thought it would help to better explain what it entails and why it matters.

The Partners program is a way that Google helps to highlight online marketers, ad agencies, and similar services that excel at the management of AdWords (the advertising service that allows you to create display ads to present on Google properties and the Google Display Network).

Any marketing firm can sign up to create a Google Partners account and be part of the program. Once accounts have been established, then the company must get certifications and score well on tests to actually claim Partner status and become “badged” – meaning that Google has sent a site badge for presentation on the company’s site and other marketing materials. The badge signifies that the company possesses a sound grasp of AdWords, has spent enough over the past 90 days to be considered a Partner-caliber user ($10,000 or more), was able to consistently build revenue both for themselves and for clients, and succeeded in retaining clients and adding new ones.

Google sent Cyberlicious® our Partner badge on September 29, 2016.

Additionally, agencies that have achieved Partner status can demonstrate their skill in certain aspects of AdWords. These specializations establish a demonstrated aptitude and track record with specific products.

Cyberlicious® earned a specialization distinction in search ads on October 1, 2016, and is currently working toward certification in the mobile, video, display, and shopping ad categories. Note that we do have demonstrated expertise in all those areas – simply having not yet met the spending requirements over the three-month measuring period for the latter four types.

Google really does take the Partner designation seriously, even creating a specific search engine for the program called simply Google Partner Search. Companies that qualify, such as Cyberlicious®, are listed within this portal. This allows businesses to locate firms that can assist them with digital marketing and other web needs.

Finally, Google allows Partners to attend additional training sessions and conferences, helping them to establish an even firmer grasp on the ecosystem and successful strategies. There are even exclusive discounts that Partners are sometimes able to pass on to current and potential clients.
